What Reflex Off, On, and On + Boost mean and who should use them in CS2.

In CS2, NVIDIA Reflex Low Latency has three options: Off, On, and On + Boost. Reflex On lowers latency for competitive players. On + Boost adds more latency reduction for supported hardware, but it may hurt performance on weaker GPUs. Here's what each setting does and who should use it.

What each Reflex setting does
SettingDescriptionBest For
OffNo latency reduction, higher input lagCasual play or FSR use
OnReduces latency slightlyMost competitive players
On + BoostMaximum latency reduction on supported GPUsHigh-end NVIDIA GPUs

AMD players: This option is exclusive to NVIDIA GPUs.

How to Enable Reflex On in CS2

  1. 01

    Open video settings

Go to the main menu and select 'Options' > 'Video' > 'Advanced'.

  2. 02

    Find Reflex Low Latency

Scroll down to the 'NVIDIA' section and look for 'NVIDIA Reflex Low Latency'.

  3. 03

Choose On or On + Boost

Select 'On' for most setups or 'On + Boost' if you have a supported NVIDIA GPU and stable frame rates.

  4. 04

    Restart CS2

Close and reopen the game for changes to take effect.

When to Leave Reflex Off

Leave Reflex Off if you're using FSR or have an AMD GPU. Reflex is only available on NVIDIA hardware and doesn't work with AMD. Also, if your frame rate is unstable or low, turning Reflex On or On + Boost can make performance worse.

Does Reflex On + Boost always improve my aim?+

No, Reflex reduces input latency but doesn't improve your skill. It helps you react faster, but only if your frame rate is stable.

Can Reflex make my game slower?+

Yes, if your GPU is already struggling, Reflex On + Boost can lower your frame rate. Start with Reflex On for a balance of latency and performance.

What if I have an NVIDIA GPU but don't see Reflex Low Latency?+

Make sure you're in the 'Advanced' section of the video settings and that you have the latest NVIDIA drivers installed.

Does Reflex work with FSR?+

No, Reflex and FSR are not compatible. If you're using FSR, keep Reflex set to Off.
